Kartik Sharma

hi i'm kartik.

i'm a developer who genuinely didn't find coding interesting until after college. no seriously, i graduated and then started caring about code. tried it in college, but algorithmic problems were just boring to me.

everything changed when i joined tbi, a startup incubator at my college. i got to work on real projects and realized coding is so much more than grinding leetcode, it's about building things that actually do something for people.

that realization led me to remote work. got hired as a founding engineer at nesoi.ai, a canada-based startup, where i worked fullstack and built ai features from scratch. being one of the first engineers on a product teaches you a different kind of pressure and i loved it.

now i work at aura group in sweden. i built their internal ai tool for consultants called trust and growth, completely solo from zero. also shipped a few other ai projects inside aura. building something alone from scratch teaches you things you can't learn any other way.

outside of work, i build random things and see what sticks. tabuly didn't work out, but i learned. whisperwall an anonymous sticky note wall, got 450+ notes, which was fun to watch happen. right now i'm building an ai tool for schools to replace manual copy-checking with ai. feels like a real problem worth solving.

i also run a youtube channel where i share my tech and fitness journey with 10.1k subscribers. and i have a discord community of 1,418 developers where we help each other figure things out.

some things worked. most didn't. that's kind of the whole story.
